Holding On

The grip slipped away, but she still holds on

So many reasons to let the grip slip away, but she holds on

Not knowing whether her fingers would give up

But her mind and heart not wanting to give up

Is it time yet to let go?

Her bruised elbows and knees from the last time, shouting out loud to let go

Her hands, could she trust them completely?

Will she let go? Should she let go?

Dancing melancholy and pain

Yet, she holds on with a lying smile

Trying to hide her pain and struggle

Will she let go? Should she let go?
